The STL Purple Clay Tenor C ocarina is available for purchase here.

While working at Starbucks, I heard this song playing over the radio. I liked it a lot, so I went back to check and see which track was playing. Later that night I looked it up and found a good backtrack for it, so I decided to learn it. I like a lot of other music by Gabriel Faure, but I didn’t know about this piece.

The ocarina I’m using is the ceramic double ocarina from STL.

Handel’s Recorder Sonata in A is another piece of music written for the recorder that works very well for the ocarina. I first heard this song performed by Kenji Ogawa back in 1999 shortly after I began playing. The work of Mr. Ogawa has been a huge source of inspiration for me over the years.

Much thanks to Kcindric for graciously making this lovely backtrack. I’m currently working on the 2nd movement of this Sonata, which I plan to record on the Purple Clay Triple Ocarina. : )
