Requiem from Castlevania SOTN on STL Porcelain Tenor G

SOTN was my first exposure to the Castlevania series and I still go back and play it from time to time. It’s always nostalgic for me because this is one of the games that really turned me into a gamer. With dialog like

“What is a man? A miserable little pile of secrets”.

How could you not love Castlevania :)

The ocarina I’m using is the STL Blue and White Porcelain Tenor G:

As always thanks for watching!

Hold on Tight, Tiny Hand on STL Max Range Doube Pendant Ocarina

Here’s another piece by You Xue Zhi, one of my favorite ocarina players. This one is off of his Steadfast Palm Grass CD.

The ocarina I’m playing is available from STL Ocarina.

The photos are just random cuteness. It’s warm again in Texas and I’m just looking forward to spring!

As always, thanks for watching!

A Lost Child from My Neighbor Totoro on STL Purple Clay Tenor Ocarina

Sometimes I feel like I live on the wrong side of the world. If I had found Totoro when it came out, I could have been playing the ocarina that much longer. This is one of the lesser known pieces from the movie, and I hope my playing it will get the word out :)

The ocarina I’m playing is available from STL Ocarina.

As always THANKS FOR WATCHING :D

Precious Chrysanthemum 貴菊 on STL Purple Clay Alto G Ocarina

Precious Chrysanthemum is a piece Taiwanese ocarina artist You Xue-shi composed for his mother. Her name means Precious Chrysanthemum. I must say, I’ve very much enjoyed his latest CD, The Steadfast Palm Grass.

The Alto G ocarina has also grown on me quite a bit. It’s sweet tone is considerably less shrill than a soprano C, and the range is versatile enough to play a wide variety of musical styles.

The ocarina I’m using is the Purple Clay Alto G from STL.

As always, thanks for watching!
